Aimilia holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, on privacy-preserving personal data utilization. Prior to her PhD, she received a BSc in Informatics from the University of Piraeus, Greece, and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh, UK.
She had worked on several research projects, both as a post-doctoral researcher, and as a post-graduate researcher during het PhD studies, gaining valuable experience on research project work. Research experience includes work on anonymisation techniques for real-world datasets, privacy-preserving utilization of personal data within personalised services, as well as context-aware systems.
