Dr. Chrystalla Neophytou is a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Informatics at the Neapolis University of Pafos, Associate Teaching Staff at the School of Pure and Applied Sciences and Special Scientist at the Laboratory of Educational Technology at the Open University of Cyprus. She received her PhD in Information and Communication Systems specializing in Educational Technology from the Open University of Cyprus in 2017. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and a degree in Greek Philology from the University of Thessaloniki.
At the Neapolis University of Pafos she teaches the courses Human Computer Interaction (AICS08), Timeseries and Forecasts (AIOP011), Management Information Systems (CS124GR/CS124EN) and Digital Economy (BUSN210GR/BUSN210EN). At the Open University of Cyprus she supervises postgraduate dissertations, participates in examination committees in the postgraduate programs of the School of Pure and Applied Sciences and has the position of Special Scientist in research programs (GameLet 2018-2021, esit4sip University 2017) at the Open University of Cyprus.
Her research interests revolve around topics in the fields of computer science, educational technology, human-computer interaction, software engineering and gamification.
