George Sklias is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at Democritus University of Thrace. His educational background includes a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Kingston University in London, Post-Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering from UCL (University College London), MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School in London and an MSc in Engineering for Marine Professionals from Plymouth University. He has been an intern at Intermar Chartering UK Ltd, a trainee Engineer at the Technical Department Eastern Mediterranean Maritime Ltd, a full time Panamax Broker at Simpson Spence Young (Dry Cargo Division, London) and Founder and Director of Partners for Developments Ltd.
